This blog began as a description of our life in Al Ain, UAE (United Arab Emirates). Brn worked at the UAE University Libraries Deanship for three years and Bss homeschooled our four children, D, B, P, and O. After returning to the the USA for five years, we are living in Abu Dhabi now.

Neighborhood stores
This building is just a block or so from the house. It has some typical Al Ain businesses in it. On the far left is a barbershop. Then, moving to the right, a small carry out restaurant, an electrical appliance repair shop, and very small grocery. On the back, out of sight from this angle, is a laundry.

Hey,
So have you started your job yet? If so, how is it going? I don't think I could sleep knowing a gecko, lizard, etc. might be watching me in the night! Take care.
