"Najla al Awadhi, one of eight women to serve in the United Arab Emirates federal advisory board, said her country was a model for other Gulf nations. 'If you look at the history of women's (empowerment), it took the United States 100 years to give women the right to vote,' she told the IPS. 'This country is 36 years old and we have sent women to parliament.'
This blog began as a description of our life in Al Ain, UAE (United Arab Emirates). Brn worked at the UAE University Libraries Deanship for three years and Bss homeschooled our four children, D, B, P, and O. After returning to the the USA for five years, we are living in Abu Dhabi now.
