Before I leave, one last update on the construction of the new Sheikha Salama Mosque:
The construction is going pretty slowly. Since October the only visible sign of progress is that a huge hole has been dug:
When I saw this, my first thought was about Mike Mulligan (though I'm pretty sure that Mary Anne wasn't built by Hyundai).
It makes me sad to think that I will not get to see the construction finished. Someone needs to promise to get some good photos when the work is done.
