For those who asked where exactly the Camel Souk is:
The souk is right on the Omani border, on the Al Ain side. From Al Ain, take Highway 66 (the Dubai Highway) towards Dubai until you get to the Hili Fun City Roundabout. Turn right. (If you are coming from Dubai, turn left at the same roundabout.) Then go straight through one roundabout and then you will come to a roundabout where you have to turn right or left. Turn right, and the souk is on the right just a half a kilometer or so.
This blog began as a description of our life in Al Ain, UAE (United Arab Emirates). Brn worked at the UAE University Libraries Deanship for three years and Bss homeschooled our four children, D, B, P, and O. After returning to the the USA for five years, we are living in Abu Dhabi now.
