I just noticed something interesting about the coverage of Saddam's trial. The Gulf News leads with the revelation that Saddam came to court against his will. I really don't understand why that is surprising. I wouldn't willingly go to court as a defendant either.
The Gulf News doens't report what the American media thinks the biggest thing that happened: Saddam says he wants to be executed by firing squad if he is convicted. This article does bring up the unwillingness to come to court too.
