We finally found the camel souk here in Al Ain, so this morning we stopped in. There were more than a hundred camels, mostly in small lots of 10 or so. We got to see a (very unhappy) camel being dragged from one pickup to another. Then a man came up and almost dragged us into a pen, saying "baby camels!". He then let the kids climb on the back of one of the camels as it lay on the ground. Then as were tried to leave, the man and his four assistants all said "baksheesh". So I gave them some money to split up and took our pictures and went on our way.

Very nice camels, seem to be very well bred judging by their stance.
ur kid looks soo adorable in the last pic .. looks like they enjoyed it =>
I have a question, what are those marks under the camel's eyes? you can clearly see the marks in the top two photos
The kids seemed to have a good time considering how tired they were.
I think that those marks were some sort of brand. I noticed that some of the camels had brand looking things on the side of their neck.
'Camels and baksheesh.'
