One of the things that we are looking forward to in Al Ain is the zoo. Currently we have to drive three hours the closest zoo, so it will really be nice to have one in the same town. And our whole family can go for only 6 dirham (less than $2). The zoo has 88 species of mammals, 102 of birds, plus more than 30 of reptiles and fish. This page has lots more info.

This blog began as a description of our life in Al Ain, UAE (United Arab Emirates). Brn worked at the UAE University Libraries Deanship for three years and Bss homeschooled our four children, D, B, P, and O. After returning to the the USA for five years, we are living in Abu Dhabi now.
