This blog began as a description of our life in Al Ain, UAE (United Arab Emirates). Brn worked at the UAE University Libraries Deanship for three years and Bss homeschooled our four children, D, B, P, and O. After returning to the the USA for five years, we are living in Abu Dhabi now.

Paperwork
So, before we can go to the UAE, Brn has to complete a bunch of paper work. All our important documents have to authenticated by our current state's state department, the US State Department, and the UAE embassy. Currently the documents are at the US State Department. Brn just called the UAE Embassy this morning and they charge $30 per document, which means that it will set us back $240 just for this. Fortunately this should be the last big expense before the actual move.
